Joy to the World, The Lord has Come!
Dear Partners...that is what you are, partners in ministry,
Thank you so much for your support and prayers over the past year. It’s Hard to believe, but another year is over, Christmas music has been out for weeks at the local Cracker Barrel, and soon we will be celebrating 2019. Amazing.
As I look back on this year, I am thankful for you and your kindness to the mission.
The transformation that has been happening is directly a result of your giving. Without it, we could not do what we do.
Transformation, that IS the word. To think about the fact that some of our leadership students only seven years ago were children who did not know if they would have a future. And now they stand proudly teaching God's Word to the next generation of children, reminding them who they are in Christ. For many of these children, all they had felt previously was condemnation. Sometimes the condemnation came from the culture around them, sometimes from voices who would tell them that their destiny was to be forever in poverty.
Thankfully, you helped them hear another voice. It's the same voice we hear loudly this time of year. The voice of God.
For God so loved the world that he sent his only son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send his Son into the world to CONDEMN the world, BUT that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:16-17)
I think verse 17 is so critical. We want these children to know they are not condemned, but that God has a plan for them. That is why He sent His Son. Your gifts have helped us to share this story.
I don't have to tell you that most non-profits survive the first 11 months of the year from the gifts that come in during the month of December. Thankfully, here in America, we still get a tax-deduction for giving to ministries. As you pray about your year-end giving, would you consider a gift to keep sharing the story of Christmas all year long with children in the Dominican Republic.
Thank you so much for giving!
And Merry Christmas from all of us at The Crossover CUPS Mission!
