"And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward."

Our Bakery is on the Rise!
Hey Friends, Mike Williams here. I wanted you to hear an update from our director on the ground, Daniel Solares. This month he is sharing about the progress of the bakery!
It is a joy to see our first group of young people so full of hope and faith and eager to learn a life skill--baking. Our bakery program is intended to satisfy the hunger of those who work in the dump and the people who participate in our CUPS discipleship programs.
The first few lessons at "Bread of Life" have been more discipleship-based. We are designing and developing classes to explain entrepreneurship and administration using principles of the Kingdom of God. We speak all the time of the one and true bread of life, our beloved Jesus Christ. These biblical teachings parallel so well to their lessons on how to prepare bread! We have discussed faith in Christ and how this faith enables us to focus more on God. Not only that, but it also makes us more functional in order to express that faith through love, service, and generosity. It is a blessing to see the happy reactions of those who receive the bread from our program. Glory to God!
Of course our friends that work in the garbage dump are satisfied and happy to receive their bread--a bread intentionally prepared for them. We are deeply grateful for all that God has been doing in this time so full of work, growth, love, and bread! Our daily prayer is that the words of Jesus become evident in these precious lives when he said:
"For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” “Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.” Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. John 6:33-35
$23 a month will provide the resources needed for one child to be involved in our program. As the bakery program continues to grow, your prayers and financial support can help more students get involved in this program! Click the button below to make a difference for a child in the DR:
